Group Tours & Tasting Packages

Several group tasting packages are available for a more in-depth winery experience at the Plainfield Winery.

Wine Cellar Tour and Tasting #1 - $5.00 per person
Tour the cellars of Chateau Thomas Winery conducted by one of our professional wine experts.  Taste five different international award-winning wines produced in our winery.  Tour includes cheese and crackers.

Minimum:  10 persons.

Wine Cellar Tour with Tasting  #2 - $10.00 per person

This is a more extensive tour of the cellar of Chateau Thomas Winery.  Our professional staff will elaborate on the six S's of wine tasting as you taste seven of our international award-winning wines with your souvenir glass, a memento of your visit to our winery.  Gourmet cheeses to enhance your tasting are included. 

Minimum:  10 persons. 

Barrel Tasting, Component Tastings and Blending Trials - $25.00 per person

Conducted by one of Chateau Thomas' winemakers.  Barrel Tasting is the lastest trend in a winery experience.  You will taste wine at different stages of the aging process.  Some wines will come from stainless steel tanks and some from oak barrels.  Compare these wines to wines already aged and bottled with your souvenir glass, a memento of this unique opportunity.

An in-depth tour of Chateau Thomas Winery conducted by one of Chateau Thoma's winemakers.  During a Component Tasting you will experience the four components of wine:  Sugar, Tannin, Acid and Oak.  You will learn the appropriate "mouthfeel" qualities and understand the quality of an individual wine and why you like or dislike it.

The Blending Trial is designed for each individual group according to the preference of the wines blended.  You ll receive a sourvenir glass. 

Gourmet cheeses, meat and fruit incldued in these tastings.
