Chateau Thomas Winery :: for the discriminating wine enthusiast

Chateau Thomas Winery has fulfilled the dreams of Doctor Thomas and his wife Jill since the early 1970's. While making wine at home, belonging to a home winemakers club, participating in formal classes at a local university, rubbing elbows and picking the brains of internationally known wine experts, while ravenously collecting French wines for his cellar, Dr. Thomas laid the groundwork for their venture. He took formal classes in winemaking and professional wine tasting in Napa, CA, and when finally ready, they launched their winery in 1984.

During more than 25 years, the growth of the winery has been remarkable, with production levels above 15,000 cases per year; making over 50 different Vinifera wines of all kinds using grapes from the West Coast, but fashioning the wines in an old-world, French style. Their wines have been consistent winners of numerous awards for excellence. Their winery building has doubled in size, adding a gift shoppe of more than 2000 items, an outdoor entertainment facility, a 4,000 square foot Banquet facility, 2 satellite locations in central Indiana, and they have published a beautiful Cookbook, "The Chateau Thomas Table, pairing to perfection", which is in state-wide distribution.
